Welcome to Manthan, an assessment and competency-evaluation platform designed to support teachers, administrators, and education departments in conducting subject-knowledge evaluations and related activities. By accessing or using the Manthan app or its associated services, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
  • You are authorized to use the platform as a teacher, educational officer, administrator, or support staff as designated by your respective education authority.
  • If you do not agree, please discontinue using the app.

2. Purpose of the Application

Manthan is built exclusively for:

  • Teacher Need Analysis
  • Competency evaluations aligned with national/state frameworks
  • Training module assessments
  • Monitoring, reporting, and analytics for education authorities

The platform is not intended for personal, commercial, or non-authorized use.

3. User Accounts & Authentication

  • Users may log in using their registered mobile number or email ID, as provided by their school, DIET, Samagra Shiksha, or other authorized body.
  • OTP-based authentication must be kept confidential.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their device and login credentials.

Unauthorized sharing of login access is not permitted.

4. Data Usage & Responsibilities

By using Manthan, you acknowledge that:

  • Your assessment responses, login information, device identifiers, and usage analytics may be collected for evaluation and reporting purposes.
  • Data will be used strictly for educational administration, research, monitoring, and system improvement.
  • Your school or education department may access your performance data for official purposes only.

No data will be sold or shared for advertising or commercial exploitation.

5. Assessment Rules

Users agree to:

  • Attempt assessments honestly without external assistance.
  • Refrain from impersonating other teachers or creating unauthorized accounts.
  • Follow evaluation guidelines issued by DIETs, DPOs, Samagra Shiksha, or the implementing agency.

The app may track response patterns, timestamps, and other integrity-related signals.

6. System Requirements & Availability

  • A stable internet connection is required for login, assessment completion, and data sync.
  • The app may experience scheduled or unscheduled downtime for maintenance or technical issues.
  • The developers are not liable for delays or disruptions caused by network failure, device malfunction, or third-party services.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, including:

  • Test items
  • Training materials
  • User interface designs
  • Algorithms and analytics modules

is the property of the implementing agency and/or its development partners.

Users may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or reuse content without written authorization.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to hack, modify, or interfere with the app.
  • Upload malicious code or exploit vulnerabilities.
  • Use automated scripts or emulators to access assessments.
  • Misuse the platform for non-official purposes.

Violation may result in account suspension or legal action.

9. Communication & Notifications

By using the app, you consent to receive:

  • OTPs
  • Assessment reminders
  • Official communications via SMS, email, or WhatsApp

These communications are strictly for educational and administrative use.

10. Limitation of Liability

While the Manthan team strives for accuracy and reliability:

  • The platform is provided on an "as is" basis.
  • The team is not liable for data loss, score discrepancies, or operational delays resulting from technical issues.
  • Decisions based on assessment results remain the responsibility of the authorized educational authorities.

11. Data Protection & Retention

  • Personal data is stored securely and aligned with government data-handling norms.
  • Data may be retained for the duration of the project and for audit or research purposes.
  • Users may request data correction through their district/DIET office.

12. Modification of Terms

The Manthan team reserves the right to update or revise these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Users will be notified of major changes via in-app notification or official communication channels.

Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws and regulations of the Government of India and the respective state education department under which the project is implemented.

For support, corrections, or technical assistance, users may contact the designated official channels shared by the project team (email/phone/WhatsApp).
